The Indonesian foods always have unique tastes and it varies based on their hometown. In this post, I will talk about the Padang food and its restaurants. We can easily find the Padang restaurants in malls and other individual restaurants along the roads in Jakarta. When I did traveling to overseas and also when I stayed in Melbourne & Sydney, there were lots of Padang restaurant that can be found everywhere. So, everytime I missed Indonesian foods, I just went to one of those Padang restaurants.

In this blog post, I’d like to talk about one of my favorite Padang restaurants in Jakarta. It calls Sari Bagindo. It can be found in Kota Kasablanca Mall and Kuningan City Mall. In Kota Kasablanca mall, we can find it in LG floor and the restaurant decoration is realy Indonesia. It shows a bit about the culture that differentiate with the retaurant surrounds, which mostly from overseas.

The restaurant is so clean with a perfect table set decoration. The layout furniture won’t make the crowd feeling in the restaurant, which makes the visitors convenience. Most of the visitors come to Sari Bagindo for having lunch with family, friends and work colleague and some of them sit in the restaurant to finish their paperworks.

They offer the delicious menu that make us can’t wait to swallow through my throat. We used to order Vegetable Package that contains rice, vegetable leaves jackfruit, leaves of cassava, green and red sauces. The portion is suitable for 2 persons. And it was only cost me IDR 20,000 before tax (arount $2.5).

Another dish that we can choose from the menu are :

• Chicken Curry
• Chicken Galangal
• Grilled Chicken
• Rendang
• Lamb Curry
• Gravel Curry
• Squid Curry
• Fried Lung
• Sauteed Bean Sprouts
• Balado Eggs
• And other interesting side dishes, beverages and desserts.

The ranges of the overall prices are between IDR 7,000 to IDR 32,000 per portion (80 cents to $3.5 per portion). Is it a lovely price right ???
