A night cream is one of the crucial skincare products that we should apply during a night skincare treatment. It can help skin to regenerate while we sleep. As I have mentioned in my previous post about A Night Skincare Treatment is Important OR NOT? , there are some skincare treatment products that we should not forget to apply at night. The healthy skin and being moisturized will be the expected result that you get from your skin when you wake up in the morning. However, sometimes I feel lazy to put the cream on at night because of the hectic day that I had and my skin would become dry as a result in the morning. This will be one of the factor that I won’t forget to apply the night cream every night even-though I am tired.

My favorite night cream brand that I used for more than 2 years is PALMER’S COCOA BUTTER FORMULA MOISTURE RICH NIGHT CREAM. I like this brand because it has a lightweight ingredient, which won’t make my skin irritate after the application. This night cream contains an Antioxidant Vitamin E, Natural Cocoa Butter and Retinol, which can help to make my skin softer and smoother overnight. The texture of this night cream is a bit solid that has more dense than the body lotion. “It was a bit weird, why it comes in the thick form for the night cream?”, this was my thought in the first time I tried it. However, after I tried to apply a bit of this night cream and rub throughout my face, the texture is very soft and it can absorbed well into my skin as well as well-blended with other skincare products that I applied in advance. This post will be my review on my favorite a night cream brand and hopefully it will help you to choose the right night cream product for your skin.

Product’s Ingredients

As it stated in the packaging box, it contains water (Aqua), Cetearyl Alcohol, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Cylopentasiloxane, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Cylohexasiloxane, Glycereth-26, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Diethylhexyl Sebacate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Tetrasodium EDTA, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Ceteareth-20, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Polyacrylate, Phenoxyethanol, Methylisothiazoli-none, N-Hydroxysuccinimide, Plmityl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Fragrance (Parfum), Steareth-20, Hydrolyzed Milk Protein, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Retinol, BHT, Propylene Glycol, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Flower Extract, Potassium SOrbate, Benzyl Bezoate, Coumarin. Honestly, I don’t know exactly what exactly those ingredients are and the benefit for the skin. The thing that I concern about this night cream is it has the Skin Perfecting Ingredients.

• Cocoa Butter: Protective plant extract
• Vitamin E: Helps prevent cell oxidation
• Peptides: Protects cell structure
• Retinol: Encourages skin’s renewal

Other than those ingredients, this night cream also PARABEN FREE. It means that it safe for the skin.

The Cream Texture

The texture of the night cream is a bit solid and it has a strong white color. If you pinch the cream softly, you may have a little amount in the first touch. And when you apply it throughout the facial skin, you have to give the extra effort to ensure that the cream is already well-spread all over your face. However, even-though it has the solid texture, it will absorb perfectly into the skin.

Packaging

The packaging is in the form of a thick bottle with the size of 75 mg. It is made from the thick plastic material and it has a lid after the main cover. Therefore, the cream won’t spill out from the bottle and it is safe if you put in your suitcase.

How to Use?

As it stated in the packaging box, the night cream can be used after cleansing by applying to the entire face and neck area each evening. However, I apply this cream in a longer process. After applying the facial toner, soothing gel, facial essence, facial serum and eye cream, I start to apply the night cream. It will be a longer step though, but I feel my face more chewy and moisturized in the morning.

Next Purchase?

This night cream is very economist. I used this every night and I still have a half-full of the cream in the bottle. And it has been more than 6 month. After a year or after I finish this product, I definitely repurchase this night cream. I really satisfy with the result.
